The Customer is a US consulting firm offering solutions and industry-leading training services for managed service providers (MSP). It helps IT solution providers manage their customers’ IT infrastructure and/or end-user systems more efficiently.
Challenge
The Customer’s existing application for offering MSP training services had slow and unstable performance. Besides, it required a more user-friendly interface. To achieve better user experience (UX), the Customer was looking to renew their web application UX design.
ScienceSoft was chosen among other web application developers as a reliable partner to develop a new web application based on the existing one. The Customer needed to modify the application UX design, extend its functionality, and enable seamless communication with their customers while preserving all the existing information.
Solution
ScienceSoft’s team stabilized the existing application, handled a smooth functional modules migration, and enhanced the overall performance of the web application. The specialists applied the Scrum methodology for more flexibility, which reduced the terms of web application elements development.
First, our experts introduced the Azure Services platform to make the application run in the cloud and enhance it with cloud-based capabilities. Then, ScienceSoft’s team reviewed user interface (UI) and UX design and renewed several application’s screens. The specialists also introduced AJAX technology, which enabled users to get data from the server without reloading pages. Afterwards, ScienceSoft performed automated web application testing to assure its quality and reliability. Besides, the experts executed API integration testing and load testing.
The new application’s UX design elements were introduced gradually, without causing any interruptions in the web application’s availability.
Results
The Customer got a web application with convenient navigation and appealing UX design, which increased user satisfaction. Besides, the cloud data storage allowed accommodating data to cope with the growing customer base more efficiently.
