The end Customer is a US company that renders mobile X-ray, ultrasound, echocardiogram, EKG and bone density testing services to 800+ facilities.
The end Customer needed to create reports and dashboards to enable a comprehensive analysis of their business performance, improve their business processes and, consequently, enhance customer service experience. Another challenge was to ensure that the reporting meets the requirements of the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
ScienceSoft’s BI implementation team started with creating a data warehouse based on Microsoft SQL Server. After that, the team delivered ETL from scratch (by loading available historical data), and then incremental ETL. For both ETL modes, ScienceSoft suggested using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services. Two analytical cubes (6- and 12-dimensional) were created using Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services. For user interface, Kyubit BI was selected. Finally, ScienceSoft’s team created reports and dashboards satisfying both the Customer’s needs and HHS’s requirements:
- Utilization report and dashboard
- Clinical outcome report and dashboard
- Financial report
- Order payments dashboard
With the implemented reporting, the Customer is able to track the efficiency of provided services that allows streamlining their operations and optimizing business processes. As a result, the response time is quicker, unproductive time is reduced, and the clients benefit from enhanced customer service experience. What’s more, the UI component was built into the Customer’s practice management system to become its integral part.
