The customer is a European provider of integrated solutions and interactive systems for scalable touchscreen networks and healthcare organizations.
The End Customer, a European telco, needed a set of highly secure video chat applications (iOS and Android) for small and medium medical practices. The solution was to provide confidential video and voice communication among patients, their family and physicians in clinics, hospitals and assisted-living facilities.
ScienceSoft’s healthcare mobile application development team developed iOS and Android app with intuitive interfaces so that patients, nursing home residents, physicians and family members could easily understand how to use it. The app uses VPN connection to keep video and voice calls secure and confidential.
Since the solution is internal, users don’t have to register. They can just sign in with the prearranged login details.
The app includes Contacts, Call history and Settings. The Contacts tab contains the names and phone numbers of a person's physicians and family members only. The user can change the ring tone, enable or disable video calls and turn vibration on and off.
This patient engagement software is used in hospitals and assisted-living facilities throughout Europe to connect patients and residents with their loved ones and physicians. With the help of video and audio group chats, health professionals are able to discuss lab results, treatment options and other concerns with patients and their families.
