The Customer is a medical consultancy providing primary care physicians (e.g. family doctors and pediatricians) with allergy testing supplies such as the percutaneous prick test, testing services (when physicians can send a blood sample to the Customer’s partner lab), as well as subcutaneous and sublingual treatment options. Their customized allergy care program also includes in-house staff training on performing tests, recording results and administering immunotherapy.
The Customer needed an HIPAA-compliant web portal to offer primary care physicians a solid functionality to control their allergy management activities such as ordering allergy treatments, submitting new patients for billing, tracking claims and more.
The web portal includes the following modules:
A primary care physician can view the list of their patients, add a new one and edit patient profiles. Each profile includes demographic information, insurance coverage and contact details. Moreover, the user can upload patients’ test results and order the immunotherapy treatment.
This module includes the list of all claims, where the user can choose and view a claim with the following details: date, status, procedure codes, ICD-10 codes, quantity of allergens tested and injections given, and financial information.
This module serves for viewing and online payment of invoices.
ScienceSoft’s portal development team delivered the HIPAA-compliant web portal that allows the Customer to offer their clients an additional web service to complement their customized allergy program. Primary care physicians now have a system to conveniently manage their allergy patients, order allergy treatments, process claims and invoices.
