Alex Murashko

With nearly three decades at ScienceSoft, Alex brings extensive experience in technology leadership, engineering management, and large-scale software delivery.

Alex joined ScienceSoft in 1997 as Director of Software Development and helped build the engineering standards, development practices, and technical governance that supported ScienceSoft’s growth into a global IT consulting and software engineering provider. His leadership supported the successful delivery of thousands of ScienceSoft projects across complex industries, including healthcare and finance.

Appointed Deputy Chief Technology Officer in 2025, Alex shapes ScienceSoft's technology strategy and oversees the evolution of its engineering governance. He also drives continuous improvements in SDLC practices to strengthen delivery predictability, software quality, and long-term maintainability while helping reduce TCO. Working with architects and engineering leaders, he ensures ScienceSoft’s engineering capabilities continue to evolve to meet market needs.

Currently, Alex helps shape ScienceSoft’s engineering strategy for an increasingly AI-driven software development environment. He guides the evolution of development practices, SDLC processes, and architectural approaches for AI-enabled delivery, keeping security, reliability, scalability, and maintainability central to ScienceSoft’s AI engineering practices.

My job is to keep our engineering discipline ahead of the risks that come with new technology. AI changes the speed of delivery, so we need to make sure that speed doesn’t outpace technical judgment.
