Seamless Porting of Sports Magazine App from iOS to Android

Challenge

The Client needed mobile technology consulting and assistance in porting a sports magazine application that was available for iOS (iPad) to Android (Kindle Fire). The ported application had to preserve the functionality and appearance of the original app.

Solution

ScienceSoft managed to port a sports magazine app to Android. The app allows users to read fresh sports news, customize issues based on favorite sports and teams, and share stories via Facebook, Twitter and email.

The app preserved native features, such as personalized TV listings, Twitter feeds from athletes, teams and other sources, as well as game recaps with scores and stats.

Results

The Client got an application that was fully supported by the Android platform and met all the requirements. Ported application complemented an iOS app, which helped to widen the audience of the service.
