No entry visas to Belarus needed for short-term business trips from the US and Europe

Since February 12, 2017 both existing and new customers of ScienceSoft will be able to arrange their business trips to our main delivery center in Eastern Europe much more easily. The decree recently signed by the Belarusian President authorized a visa-free stay in Belarus for up to 5 days for citizens of 80 countries, including the United States, all EU countries, Canada, Australia and Japan.

ScienceSoft’s main delivery center in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, is the workplace for the majority of the company’s developers and testers. For a visa-free visit there, travelers from the countries mentioned above will need to arrive at the Minsk National Airport, have a valid domestic passport (or its equivalent for traveling abroad) and funds available in the amount of €25 ($26.73) a day. A health insurance with coverage of at least €10,000 ($10,693.37) can be taken out either before the trip or right at the airport.

The flights from New York to Minsk take about 9 hours; the flight distance between Belarus and most European capitals averages 2 hours.
