Challenge: To everyone's surprise, it was still lack of encyclopedic knowledge on scientific effects.
Solution: We extended our team by 500 employees within one year to create a knowledge base of 1,000 scientific effects, more than 1,000 engineering examples, and 3,400 animation sequences provides descriptions and animated depictions of effects and their advantages. Animated micro and macro views show each effect in action.
Result: IM-Phenomenon is the first software able to generate new concepts on the basis of its huge base of scientific effects. Using artificial intelligence, IM-Phenomenon suggests and links effects, enabling users to generate innovations more quickly and completely. The software suggests one or more effects meeting the user's needs. It then provides descriptions including formulae, engineering advantages, limitations, necessary materials, additional references, and real-world examples.
Awards: In 1997 IM-Phenomenon was announced the Product of the year by NASA TechBrief.
