Media Portal Redevelopment

Customer: A large media corporation having a wide range of media portals.

Challenge: The customer's site is an online presence for their weekly magazine and dedicated to restaurant business and concerned issues (cookery, recipes, etc.). The improvements sought in this project were towards achieving a consistent look & feel throughout the site and implementing a comprehensive, scalable, content management system for site content and online communications.

Solution: ScienceSoft was selected to recover the project after it was started unsuccessfully with the Indians and improve the overall business models. The system was architected as a bank of capabilities selectively assigned to roles, which are in turn inherited by different types of site users such as site visitors, subscribers, advertisers and a hierarchical tree of administrative users.

Results: After three months of hard work a complex media portal was online.
